A body of evidence suggests that spirituality plays a significant role in the treatment of medical and psychological conditions. Studies have found that spiritually oriented psychotherapies can provide benefits for people with various psychological issues, such as anxiety, eating disorders, depression, and stress. In an Australian survey, most patients with psychiatric illnesses wanted their therapists to be aware of their beliefs and spiritual needs, and believed that their spiritual practices helped them cope better.
Contemporary research has revealed positive correlations between spiritual wellbeing and mental health. Few studies have been conducted on the impact of spirituality on health-related behavior, although it was recognized as one of the four dimensions of health. The data collection questionnaires included demographic information, the standard DASS-21 questionnaire for stress, anxiety, and depression, and a 20-item spiritual health questionnaire. Jewish Care offers services for Jewish people who are experiencing emotional difficulties or mental health problems. However, the psychiatric community does not sufficiently recognize the importance of religion and spirituality. Neuroscience and the clinical benefits of spiritual practices have become the main drivers of recent scientific research. The primary objective of this study was to examine the relationship between spirituality, health-related behavior, type of education acquired, and psychological wellbeing.
